Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Collins is a Mexican American sportscaster. She works as an ESPN news anchor and hosts SportsNation occasionally. Her first job at ESPN in the year 2016. The child of journalists on TV Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta was bilingual from the age of nine. Her skill was instrumental in helping her get her first role as production assistant for Univision Miami and Univision Miami, where she collaborated with producers of the shows Nuestra Belleza Latina and Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. Her first job was as a reporter for the CBS St. Petersburg affiliate after that. She moved from St. Petersburg to Rio Grande Valley in 2009 as a reporter for Fox2 News, the Spanish channel KNVO TV 48 Univision, and Fox2 News. Covering stories on immigration and drug-trafficking on both sides of the border with Mexico. She was a reporter for five minutes of the p.m. Spanish newscast a anchor and reporter for news at 9 p.m. news in English, and another reporter for the 10 p.m. Spanish newscast. She also filled in anchors for sports and weather. Deportes 23 in Dallas, Univision's Dallas-affiliate station. In that station, she was given greater accountability. The pieces she produced were on Major League Baseball's ALDS ALCS and World Series the Dallas Cowboys the NBA postseason and Finals FC Dallas and the Dallas Stars. Besides this, she produced Univision 23's local sports show Accion Deportiva Extra on which she was anchor. She worked as anchoring the sports section of Despierta America Deportes morning show. The anchor also worked in a similar position for the channel's magazine show Primer Impacto and for UniMas Network's Contacto Deportivo. Antonietta Collins' parents are originally from Veracruz Mexico. They moved towards Mexico City, where Antonietta Collins was born on November 1985. She is older than her sister. The family moved to Miami in 1992 after they left Mexico. Her parents divorced shortly after and in 1995, she married a naval designer named Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo died in 2006 of kidney cancer. The couple remained in Canton Ohio with her older sister throughout the summer in which she was offered the chance to get a job. As a senior in high school and yet knowing exactly what she wanted to do in her future, Antonietta was able to visit the University of Mount Union to examine if it was a good fit for her requirements. It turned out that she loved the campus and they offered the course that she had been looking for. After graduation, she enrolled at the University for a degree in media studies. Mark Bergmann was her professor and the manager of WRMU in which she is a part of. They formed a strong relationship. The professor who taught her Mark Bergmann inspired her by his passion about journalism. He also deeply impacted her.
